High Wall Far-Infrared Radiant Heater 2000w (THG)
High Wall Far-Infrared Radiant Heater 2000w (THG)
A radiant heater perfect for areas where wall or floor space is limited.
At Eco Geek, we are huge fans of radiant heat and believe it is one of the best, most comfortable ways to heat effectively and energy efficiently.
This high wall radiant heater offers a great solution for properties where installing a heat pump is difficult or impractical.
Ideal use
Rooms with high ceiling (3m+) where heat can easily rise.
Community halls and churches
Commercial heating: offices, hospitality, garages, childcare centres
Home heating: lounges, living areas and offices with limited wall space for fixed heating
Multi-story apartments where access to install heat pumps is difficult
Outdoor heating
Key features
Direct heat. Rather than heating all of the surrounding air in a large space like convector heaters do, infrared heaters radiate heat directly to occupants, surfaces and objects. This directed heat often requires a lower level of energy - reducing power consumption and cost.
It’s convection free. It operates silently with no blown air so it doesn’t circulate dust and pollutants around the room.
More wall or floor space. These heaters are wall or ceiling mounted. This also keeps the unit safely out of reach and is ideal for spaces with children.
Remote control. You can control the heater using the remote. One remote can also control multiple units.
WIFI control. You can link and control the heater (or a number of heaters) over WIFI using the Smart Life App. You can set a programme, and turn these heaters on and off remotely.
Easy to install. These heaters simply plug into a standard power point making it far cheaper to install than a heat pump.
Ideal where a heat pump is impractical. If you have a multi-story property or have solid concrete walls, installing a heat pump can be difficult. These heaters offer a great solution.
Great in tall or draughty rooms. Heat pumps and convectional forms of heating are not well suited to spaces with higher ceilings (3 meters high and more). Often the heat will rise to the ceiling and encourage draughts at floor level if the home or building is poorly sealed. As these are mounted on the ceiling or wall they project heat down onto objects.
Suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments.
What people are saying
“We have a large open plan living area (28 square meters) and have found it hard to find the right kind of heating for this space, as we cannot fit in a heatpump. We love the new high wall radiant heater – it is doing an amazing job of heating the space up, keeping us warm when we are seated and doesn't take up valuable wall space!"

Extra Geeky info:
How does far infrared heat work?
When Far Infrared waves touch surfaces in a room, heat energy is released and so the ceiling, walls and floor of a room are gently heated.
Humans absorb Far Infrared waves exceptionally well, because our bodies are 80% water and the long wave form acts very effectively. We are built to respond to this form of heat as it is what we feel when we are in front of an open fire or feeling the sun on our faces.
Frequently Asked Questions
+ How should these be installed?
These FAR Infrared digital panels can be installed on the wall just like a heat pump at a minimum height of 2.2m. We advise installing them near the top of the wall and having the unit angled to project and cast the heat widely across the space. A 200mm gap should be maintained from the ceiling.
+ Do you provide installation services?
We can help organise a local installer for these heaters for commercial jobs (30+ radiators), but not for home installations.
We provide installation instructions. You will require two people to install this heater onto their brackets.
+ Do I need an electrician to install this?
These radiators can simply be plugged into a standard NZ power point, however to reduce the visability of the cable, you may want to have an electrican install a standard power poin behind the panel on the wall. If you have a block or concrete wall and this is not possible, you can run conduit down the wall.
+ Do you have a showroom?
We do not currently have a showroom. This heater is available to view at the Sustainability Trust Eco shop on Forresters Lane, Wellington.
+ What are your warranty terms?
We offer a 2-year replacement warranty
+ How do these perform outside?
The heaters are IPX4 Rated which means it is dust proof and water proof, but should be mounted out of direct line of the rain. We do recommend increasing the amount of power wattage you use outside (depending on where they will be situated and if there is any exsiting shelter or walls to retain the heat). Contact us if you require information on the appropriate size heater you may need.
The heaters are IPX4 Rated which means it is dust proof and water proof but I don't think they can promise that it won't degrade quickly when exposed to saltwater a lot.
Like any metal products, these heaters will degrade faster and are likey to rust in time if exposed to ocean spray or salty air. We often find that heat pumps exposed to salty air degrade faster when they are under cover as this salt water doesn't get washed by rain, so we recommned frequent cleaning to help prolong the life of any outdoor heaters.
