Lucht LHZ Electric Radiator (1.4kW)
Lucht LHZ Electric Radiator (1.4kW)
European style radiators, without the cost and hassle
The options for central heating in New Zealand are limited, use natural gas (which is a rapidly depleting resource) and require extensive installation, maintenance and cost.
The Lucht LHZ range of electric radiators look and feel like gas central heating, are easy to install, plug into existing power supplies and are made to last.
Ideal use
The Lucht LHZ range of radiators can be installed in almost any location: domestic properties, offices and any other situation where you want a central heating solution.
Key Features
Easy install and maintenance-free. These radiators require no boiler, plumbing or pipework. Simply plug into a standard New Zealand power point or hardwire these in.
Standalone heater or complete central heating. These heaters can as a stand alone radiator or operate as a complete central heating system
Even distribution of heat. LHZ Radiators provide even heat throughout the room, with very little difference in temperature from the top to the bottom of the living space.
Accurate thermostat. The temperature is sensed through a node at the bottom of the radiator and is accurate to 0.1 degrees Celcius.
Direct radiant heat. These heaters radiate heat directly to occupants, surfaces and objects. This directed heat often requires a lower level of energy – reducing power consumption and cost. The fin design of these radiators boasts 6 times the normal radiator surface area to provide a balance of 50% Convection and 50% Radiant heat for your added comfort.
Magmatic heat-retention tablets. Heat is stored in LHZ’s unique magmatic heat-retention tablets. These heating tablets continue to radiate heat for up to 45 minutes offering increased comfort and reduced running costs.
Various sizes to suit different rooms. We have radiators from 600w to 2400w. Scroll to the bottom of the page for our calculator. The larger the unit the longer its length. Each heater maintains the same height (630mm). Low profile options to fit under windows are also available on request.
Choose from a variety of programming options including:
Digital thermostat. with a 24/7 programmable timer on the radiator (TDI).
Mobile app / wifi control (DSM). Purchase the optional DSM gateway to control heaters via the LHZ app Control System. This gives full control over timing and temperature, plus real-time monitoring of power use.
Manual dial. We do not recommend this option as it can’t be programmed but may suit people who want a simple on/off control.
Wall mount or free-standing. Each heater is supplied with wall fixing brackets. Radiator supports can be ordered as optional extras. These heaters are very heavy due to the magmatic heat tablets. The largest 2.4kW heaters weighs up to 62kgs. We do recommend mounting these into wall studs.
Built to last. The heater’s robust body incorporates a spot welded high fin surface area to ensure that there are no expansion or contraction noises during the heating cycle.
12-year warranty. Every LHZ heater has a 12-year manufacturers warranty and a 2-year warranty on the electronics and thermostat.

+ How do I control the heater via wifi?
This features only works with DSM (wifi) version of these heaters.** It does not work on the manual or TDI versions. **
A LHZ Smart Gateway Box is needed to control the radiators using web or Smartphone apps.
The Smart box communicates with the radiators through internet and is connected to the home router using an Ethernet cable (supplied).
Using your smartphone, tablet or PC you can open up your LHZ Smart App to control your heating 24/7. This app is compatible with both Apple and Android. If you wish, you can also invite other users to join your account to modify the heating programme.
The home page displays the heating status, temperature and operational functions of your system. You can select how you want to program your heaters and make changes anytime, anywhere.
The Smart box system enables you to monitor the consumed power and temperature at any time.
All homes have a maximum power capacity. In order to stay within the limits of the capacity the Smart system has an inbuilt electricity consumption monitor / limiter. The Smart Kit has an optional 100amp Power Meter Clamp.
The Smart Wifi system allows you to add, delete and prioritise heaters anywhere, any time to provide you with full system control.
